Perhutani KPH Garut |

Perum Perhutani Forest Management Unit (KPH) Garut is one of the management units under the Regional Division of West Java and Banten of Perum Perhutani.
The working area of KPH Garut, based on Government Regulation No. 72 of 2010 concerning the State Forestry Public Corporation (Perum), covers an area of 85,145.79 hectares, located within the administrative regions of Garut Regency (84,968.04 ha) and Bandung Regency (177.75 ha) in West Java Province, with the following boundaries:

North side : Borders with Sumedang Forest Management Unit (KPH Sumedang)
East side : Borders with Tasikmalaya Forest Management Unit (KPH Tasikmalaya)
South side : Borders with the Indonesia Ocean
West side : Borders with South Bandung Forest Management Unit (KPH Bandung Selatan) and North Bandung (KPH Bandung Utara)

Based on land suitability within the forest area, KPH Garut is divided into two Business Classes (KP): Teak (Jati) covering 10,695.84 hectares and Pine (Pinus) covering 74,449.95 hectares.

Forest Functions :

Limited Production Forest (HPT) < 15 % covering area of 1.021,70 Ha,
HPT > 15 % covering area of 9.841,67 Ha,
Production Forest (HP) covering area of 1.228,85 Ha
Protected Forest (HL) covering area of 73.053,57 Ha.

Based on Government Regulation No. 72 of 2010 concerning the State Forestry Public Corporation (Perum Perhutani), KPH Garut is divided into several Forest Sections (BH) :

BH Garut Barat covering area of 34.777,84 Ha
BH Garut Timur covering area of 39.672,11 Ha
BH Pameungpeuk covering area of 10.695,84 Ha

Based on its management area, KPH Garut consists of 9 Forest Management Unit Sections (BKPH) and 30 Forest Management Unit Resorts (RPH), with the following details :
