Ciamis Perum Perhutani Forest Management Unit (KPH) is one of the management units in West Java and Banten Regional Division.
The area of Perum Perhutani KPH Ciamis based on the RPKH (Forest Sustainability Management Plan) book is 29,942.40 ha and is divided into 2 (two) KP (Company Class). Based on the RPKH Book, for 2014 to 2023, KP Jati (Teak) covers an area of 24,114.04 ha, and for 2016 to 2025, KP Pinus (Pine) covers an area of 5,828.36 ha.
Based on the results of the assessment by the Decree of the Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Indonesia Number: 195/KPTS-II/2003 dated July 4, 2003, the forest area in KPH Ciamis, both in the KP Jati area and in the KP Pinus area, is designated as Production Forest.
The location of the Ciamis KPH is administratively divided into three parts, an area of 12,376.50 Ha included in the administrative area ofCiamis Regency, an area of 16,558.62 Ha under the Pangandaran Regency area, and an area of 1,007.28 Ha belongs to the Banjar City administrative area, West Java Province.

The forest area of Perum Perhutani KPH Ciamis is located at an altitude of 0-1500 meters above sea level from the coast to the mountains. The forest ecosystem formations in the Ciamis KPH area include:

In its development, there was an increase in the area of the KP Jati to 24,114.04 Ha. First, it originated from the forest area addition according to the Verbal Greens project Sand Mining Enz Process No. 134 dated December 17, 1928. The project states that there is an area included in the area of KPH Ciamis covering an area of 33.00 ha based on the results of SP2SH measurements on the rearrangement for RPKH KP Jati for January 1, 2014 – December 31, 2023 term, the definitive area is 30.00 ha. Second, there is an exchange process under the Decree of the Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Indonesia No. 429/Menhut-II/2013 dated June 12, 2012, regarding the release of a permanent production forest area of 3.00 ha in Forest Group Mt. Babakan Petak 53b and 55d RPH Gadung BKPH Banjar Utara and Minister of Forestry Decree No. 325/menhut-II/2013 dated May 6, 2013, regarding the production forest area determination of 6.07 ha in the Mt.Sangkur forest group, which is a replacement land from exchanging forest areas from Banjar City Government’s land.
With the redesign of the function of the forest area (Minister of Forestry Decree No. 195/Kpts-II/2003 dated July 4, 2003), some of the Ciamis forest areas have changed functions. The forest area managed by Perum Perhutani KPH Ciamis is 29,942.40 Ha (KP Jati is 24.114.04 Ha, and KP Pinus is 5,828.36 Ha). (see map of KPH Ciamis)

There are five work units (Forest Management Unit Section/BKPH) in the forest management under the working area of KPH Ciamis; consisting of 1 (one) BKPH including KP Pinus and 4 (four) BKPH including KP Jati as follows:
BKPH Ciamis (KP Pinus) covering an area of 5,828.36 Ha, includes:

BKPH Banjar Utara (KP Jati) covering an area of 3114.99 Ha, includes:

– RPH Rancah = 853,23 Ha
BKPH Banjar Selatan (KP Jati) covering an area of 4,913,581 Ha, includes:
– RPH Banjar = 597,07 Ha
– RPH Banjarsari = 1.232,91 Ha
– RPH Cicapar = 1.982,30 Ha
– RPH Pamarican = 1.101,30 Ha
BKPH Pangandaran (KP Jati) covering an area of 6,785.59 Ha, includes:
– RPH Pangandaran = 2.751,80 Ha
– RPH Kalipucang = 1.552,50 Ha
– RPH Cisaladah = 2.481.29 Ha
BKPH Cijulang (KP Jati) covering an area of 9,299.88 Ha, includes:
– RPH Parigi = 3.174,09 Ha
– RPH Langkaplancar = 2.541,49 Ha
